I make braided leashes from 550 paracord, usually with the “guts” – the inside strands – pulled out. This produces a much flatter braid than with the guts left in. I can make them in any length from 30″ to 6 feet. I have made them with 2 colors and with 3 colors. If you choose 3 colors, the first color you choose will be the one with two of the four strands (I still need to make changes to the website on this page to allow you to order a 3rd color – message me if you'd like to order a 3-color leash).
These leashes are not much fun to hold onto if you have a dog who pulls a lot when he is on a leash. They are intended for use with dogs far enough along in their training that they don't pull.
34″ Neon Orange and Black slip leash
I started making these slip leads when I wanted a lightweight leash to use for hunt tests with my Flat-Coated Retrievers. I use one when going between the holding blinds in a Senior or Master hunt test. It folds up very compactly for stuffing in a pocket before going to the line.
